Italy wins the Coupe du Monde de la Pâtisserie 2021
The golden year of Italy continues with the triumph of Lorenzo Puca, Andrea Restuccia and Massimo Pica at Coupe du Monde de la Pâtisserie 2021, the world stage of pastry. CAST Alimenti, which was the official training venue of the three champions, thus adds the 20th world title to its palmarès.
On 25th September last in Lyon, inside the Sirha salon, the eleven nations that reached the final at the World Pastry Championship competed against each other. The three Italian pastry chefs, coordinated by the president of the Italian Club Alessandro Dalmasso – won the final against, among others, Japan and France, who finished second and third respectively.
For 18 consecutive months, every day from 7 in the morning to 10 in the evening, Lorenzo, Massimo and Andrea trained in CAST under the guidance of the 2015 World Pastry Champions Francesco Boccia, Emmanuele Forcone and Fabrizio Donatone and with the advice of the the most important pastry chefs and teachers of CAST, in a laboratory specially equipped with the most advanced technologies.
