Foreign students in CAST Alimenti to learn about Italian cuisine and pastry

A group of selected students from the Monroe College of New York in CAST Alimenti

The 6th of November ended a two months experience for foreign students in CAST Alimenti. This is the second year that Cast Alimenti has welcomed a group of selected students from the Monroe College of New York for a course focused on Italian Cuisine and Pastry.

This is a great and enriching opportunity for both schools: CAST Alimenti had the opportunity to share knowledge about the territory and typical productions, so that the quality of Italian food can be increasingly valued overseas.

The foreign students learned to master techniques of food processing as well as to correctly present dishes of the Italian typical Cuisine and Pastry, planned and processed with either classical and modern cooking techniques.

The two months stay has been enriched also by some field trips, guided tours and visits to a winery in Franciacorta and other food processing companies, restaurants and farmhouses in the area.
